Neon Genesis Evangelion


Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese animated television series directed by Hideaki Anno. It is an apocalyptic anime in the mecha genre. The series is set in the futuristic city of Tokyo-3 after a worldwide cataclysm called the second impact. The story centers on Shinji Ikari, a teenage boy who is recruited by the shadowy organization NERV to pilot a giant bio-machine called an Evangelion in combat against monstrous beings known as Angels.

It became very popular in the charming characters and exciting story. Conversely, the details of story is too difficult, and It failed to complete the series. For this reason, it received mixed reviews. Nevertheless, it is one of the most successful anime television series of the 1990s. Subsequent film, manga and other products have achieved record sales in Japan and overseas markets, with revenues grossing over $2 billion (150 billion yen).

The Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 (sometimes known simply as "the Choral"), is the final complete symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827). Completed in 1824, the symphony is one of the best-known works of the repertoire of classical music.

This "the Choral" is used inthe climactic scene of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
