The kimono has been Japanese traditional garment worn by both men and women. There are different types of kimono for different occasions and seasons, for example yukata, hurisode, tomesode and hakama.

The furisode type of kimono is exclusively for unmarried women and the tomesode is for married women. The kimono is popular as an item of special attire at ceremonies, wedding, first visit to a shrine of the New Year and coming-of-age day. Women wearing kimono are very beautiful.
