Tochigi Prefecture

Prefectural capital:Utsunomiya City
In Tochigi Prefecture, strawberry production is very developed, more than 40 years the first in Japan. And, the production volume of Kanpyō (dried shavings of calabash) is also the first, accounts for more than 90% of Japan.
There are many hot springs in Nikko, Shiobara and Nasu where are famous tourist destinations.

Nikkō Tōshō-gū, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nikkō is very popular. It is a shrine that dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate(Edo Bakufu). In addition, Utsunomiya jiaozi is famous, there ara jiaozi dining hall in place throughout Utsunomiya City.
